Project Background
A leading construction materials group required a high-capacity aggregate production line to supply a 120 km highway project and several high-rise developments in the region. The line needed to deliver three graded products: 0-5 mm manufactured sand, 5-20 mm crushed stone, and 20-31.5 mm coarse aggregate, all meeting local high-way authority specifications.
Process Design
WSHT designed a three-stage crushing and screening configuration optimized for hard granite feed (UCS 180 MPa):
- Primary crushing: C160 jaw crusher (500 TPH) in open circuit
- Secondary crushing: two GP300 cone crushers (300 TPH each) in closed circuit
- Tertiary shaping: two B9100 VSI sand makers (200 TPH each) for cubical product
- Multi-deck vibrating screens separating finished products with recycled load conveyor
Equipment & Civil Scope
WSHT scope covered all crushing and screening equipment, belt conveyor network (2,400 m total length), steel structure, dust suppression system and central control room. The line was erected in 4 months from ground-breaking.
Performance Results
Final plant throughput verified at 815 TPH (2% above design capacity). Product shape index (Flakiness) consistently below 8%, well within specification. Plant availability > 95% in the first 6 months of operation.
Long-Term Service
WSHT retains a 3-year wear parts and spares contract, with a regional warehouse pre-stocking critical wear parts for 24-hour delivery.
