Project Overview

WSHT delivered a turnkey 300 tpd gold ore processing plant in West Africa, featuring crushing, grinding, gravity concentration and carbon-in-leach (CIL) cyanide leaching for gold recovery.

Process Design

Crushing Circuit:

  • Primary jaw crusher reducing to -200mm
  • Secondary cone crusher achieving -12mm
  • Pre-screening to remove fines

Grinding and Recovery:

  • Ball mill in closed circuit with hydrocyclones
  • Knelson gravity concentrator for coarse gold
  • Intensive leaching reactor for gravity concentrate
  • CIL tanks for overall gold recovery
  • Elution and gold room

Performance Results

  • Recovery: 92% overall
  • Throughput: 320 tpd (design 300 tpd)
  • Availability: 91%
  • Product: 99.9% dor bars
