Mauritanian iron ore operator needed to upgrade low-grade hematite ore (30% Fe) to saleable 65% Fe concentrate for export.
Process Design
Three-stage crushing → rod + ball milling → multi-stage LIMS magnetic separation → reverse flotation for silica removal → thickening → filtration.
Results
65.3% Fe concentrate at 83% mass recovery. Diesel-powered off-grid operation with 18% below estimated power consumption.
