Working Principle

The Wet Pan Mill consists of a rotating stone grinding base and heavy-duty steel or stone rollers. The motor drives the rollers through a gear reduction system, causing them to rotate on their axes while traveling around the grinding pan. Gold ore mixed with water is fed into the center of the pan and is continuously crushed and ground between the rotating rollers and the pan base. For amalgamation operations, mercury is added to the grinding charge, forming an amalgam with liberated gold particles. The ground slurry is discharged through screens at the periphery of the pan.
