Hydrocyclone group is modular combined classification and desliming equipment for mineral processing. Several hydrocyclone units are installed in parallel on one support frame, sharing feeding box, overflow and underflow pipelines. Driven by slurry pump, it uses centrifugal force to separate coarse particles, fine mud and valuable heavy minerals, widely used in placer gold washing plant.
Different from spiral chute and sluice box which complete gravity separation directly, hydrocyclone group works as pre‑processing equipment. Ore slurry enters cyclones tangentially under pressure. Coarse heavy particles discharge from underflow outlet and go to sluice box, vibrating screen or spiral chute for gold recovery. Fine mud and light gangue flow out from overflow outlet as tailings, greatly improve final gold recovery rate.
