Molybdenum Recovery from Copper Concentrates — Flotation & Re-Grinding

Molybdenum Recovery

Molybdenum is commonly recovered as a by-product from copper-molybdenum porphyry deposits.

Regrinding

Copper-molybdenum concentrate is reground to P80 = 20-38 microns to liberate molybdenite from copper sulphide minerals.

Selective Flotation

Copper minerals are depressed using sodium sulphide while molybdenite is floated. Multiple cleaning stages produce >48% Mo grade concentrate.
