Digital, Automated Mining Operations

Modern mining operations are increasingly digital and automated. Advanced electrical and automation systems allow crushing, screening, grinding and beneficiation plants to be operated reliably, efficiently and safely — with fewer on-site operators, consistent product quality and lower energy cost. WSHT designs and integrates complete electrical, automation and process control systems for our mining and aggregate projects.

Our automation scope covers everything from electrical power distribution to operator HMI, PLC programming, SCADA systems and data analytics.

PLC / SCADA / VFD Control Systems

WSHT delivers PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based plant control systems using major PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi and others as preferred by customers). SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems provide central operator HMI, alarm management, trending, historical data logging and reporting.

VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) motor control is used extensively for crushers, feeders, conveyors and grinding mills — enabling soft starting, precise speed control and energy-efficient operation.

Crushing / Grinding / Beneficiation Process Control

WSHT implements process control strategies including: crusher feed rate control and choke feeding, crusher CSS (closed-side setting) automatic adjustment, screen feed distribution and water addition control, grinding mill load and circulating load control, hydrocyclone feed pressure and density control, flotation cell level and airflow control, and thickener / tailings management automation.

These control strategies improve throughput, product quality stability, energy efficiency and equipment availability.

Remote Monitoring & Data Analytics

WSHT's plant control systems support remote monitoring and data analytics. Process data (throughput, motor currents, temperatures, vibration, operating hours, chemical consumptions, water flow, etc.) is logged to on-site and/or cloud-based historians. This data enables WSHT's service engineers and our customers' operations teams to monitor plant performance, detect early signs of equipment problems and identify optimization opportunities.

WSHT's 24/7 remote support center can monitor connected plants and provide rapid remote technical assistance.

AI-Driven Process Optimization

Modern machine learning and AI techniques are increasingly applied to mining process optimization. WSHT is actively developing AI-driven optimization tools for crusher setpoints, grinding circuit control, flotation reagent dosing and other key process steps — combining plant operating data with process models to continuously improve throughput, recovery and energy efficiency.
