High-rate thickeners increase underflow density from ~30% to 50-65% solids. Paste thickeners produce 65-75% solids for direct filtration.
Filtration
Vacuum disc filters handle high-tonnage filtration (8-12% moisture). Pressure filters produce lower moisture (6-8%) for long-distance transport.
