Ball Mill Design
Ball mills are the most common fine grinding device in mineral processing. Design considers liner type, ball charge, speed and discharge configuration.
Liner Selection
Rubber, steel or composite liners selected based on ore abrasiveness, impact severity and maintenance requirements. Liner profile affects charge motion and grinding efficiency.
Ball Charge
Ball filling (30-40%), size distribution and ball material determine grinding efficiency. Larger balls for coarse feed, smaller for fine grinding.
Power Calculation
Power draw calculated using Bond's method with appropriate correction factors for wet/dry grinding, oversize feed and closed circuit operation.
