Taiyuan Heavy Industry's Semi-Mobile Crushing Station Breaks New Ground
A 3,000 tonne/hour gyratory semi-mobile crushing station independently developed by Taiyuan Heavy Industry (TZ) has been operating stably at a large overseas iron mine for four months, receiving high praise from the project client: "Efficiency far exceeds expectations, energy savings are significant, and intelligent operations are more convenient."
Technical Innovations
This achievement fills the technology gap in China's small-to-medium semi-mobile crushing station sector (2,000-5,000 T/H capacity range) through two breakthrough innovations:
Vibration Control
The R&D team optimized structural design through finite element static and dynamic analysis, using reinforced steel structures to strictly control operating amplitude within standards, with vibration resistance performance reaching international advanced levels.
Permanent Magnet Direct Drive
Industry-first application of permanent magnet direct-drive technology to the discharge conveyor system:
- Energy savings: Approximately 350,000 RMB annual electricity cost reduction
- Reduced complexity: Eliminated intermediate transmission components (motor + gearbox + coupling)
- Lower maintenance: Significantly reduced failure rates and improved operational stability
Extreme Environment Adaptability
The crushing station operates in a tropical marine climate with high humidity, high salinity, and strong corrosion conditions at a Peruvian coastal iron mine. TZ provided customized high-end anti-corrosion coating systems and intelligent linkage control systems for autonomous coordinated operation of the entire crushing production line.
Product Portfolio
Taiyuan Heavy Industry has developed a series of semi-mobile crushing stations covering different processing capacities. Previous achievements include a semi-mobile gyratory crushing station for Tibet's giant copper mine at 5,300m elevation, and China's largest jaw-type semi-mobile crushing station (930 T/H) at the world's highest-altitude lead-zinc mine.
