Hillgrove Mine Processing Facility Commissioning Begins
ASX-listed Larvotto Resources has commenced commissioning of the Hillgrove mine's processing facility in New South Wales, with first ore crushed and placed in the fine ore bin ready to feed the grinding circuit. This marks the first stage of the sequenced restart of processing operations at the historic Hillgrove mine.
Commissioning Progress

Production Targets
Hillgrove is poised to become Australia's second and largest antimony mine, producing approximately 4,900 tonnes per year of antimony and more than 40,000 ounces per year of gold once fully ramped up, with a projected mine life of seven years. The company is also evaluating the potential for a tungsten concentrate operation.
Challenges and Achievements
MD Ron Heeks noted the significance of reaching this milestone, particularly given the unique challenges created by the Hormuz conflict on equipment deliveries. Underground ore mining continues to build an ore stockpile for feeding the run-of-mine pad, ensuring steady feed for the processing plant during ramp-up.
This project demonstrates the feasibility of refurbishing historical mining operations with modern processing technology to extract critical minerals including antimony, gold, and potentially tungsten.
