WSHT in Canada — Engineering Excellence for North America's Premier Mining Jurisdiction

Canada ranks among the world's top mining nations, with a diverse mineral endowment spanning the hard-rock gold deposits of the Canadian Shield, the potash reserves of Saskatchewan, the oil sands of Alberta, and emerging critical minerals projects including lithium, rare earth elements, graphite and cobalt across British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and the Northwest Territories. WSHT Mining Group is committed to serving this sophisticated market with equipment and EPC solutions that meet Canadian standards, cold-climate operating requirements and the highest environmental and safety expectations.

Our Canadian operations are supported by a regional service center in Vancouver, British Columbia, with project offices in Toronto, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta. We maintain strategic partnerships with Canadian engineering firms, EPC contractors and fabrication shops to maximize local content and ensure compliance with Canadian codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Hard-Rock Gold Processing — From the Yukon to Newfoundland

Canada's gold operations span the historic Klondike of the Yukon, the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Ontario and Quebec, and emerging districts in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. WSHT supplies complete gold processing plants designed for Canada's cold-climate conditions, including fully enclosed, heated plant buildings, Arctic-grade steel specifications, low-temperature hydraulic and lubrication systems, and heated operator environments.

Our Canadian gold processing flowsheets incorporate primary jaw crushing, secondary cone crushing, HPGR or SAG/ball mill grinding circuits, gravity concentration, flotation, CIL/CIP cyanidation, elution and electrowinning, and gold refining. For remote northern projects, we offer modular, containerized plant designs that minimize on-site construction and can be transported by winter road, barge or air freight.

Potash Processing — High-Capacity Crushing and Scrubbing for Saskatchewan Operations

Saskatchewan's potash mines are among the largest and most efficient in the world. WSHT supplies specialized potash processing equipment including dual-stage crushing systems for potash ore, rotary scrubbers and desliming equipment, flotation cells for potash recovery, crystallization systems, drying and compaction circuits, and product handling and storage systems. Our equipment is designed for the abrasive and corrosive conditions typical of potash processing, with specialized materials of construction including stainless steel and rubber-lined components.

Oil Sands — Extraction and Processing Equipment for Alberta's Oil Sands Operations

Alberta's oil sands represent one of the world's largest hydrocarbon resources. WSHT supplies equipment and processing systems for both mining and in-situ oil sands operations, including ore preparation plants (OPPs) with double-roll crushers and rotary breakers, slurry preparation and hydrotransport systems, primary separation vessels, froth treatment equipment, tailings management systems and mature fine tailings (MFT) processing technology.

Critical Minerals — Lithium, Rare Earths and Graphite Processing

Canada is emerging as a global leader in critical minerals production, driven by the energy transition and electric vehicle supply chain requirements. WSHT supplies complete processing solutions for lithium (both spodumene pegmatite and brine deposits), rare earth elements (bastnaesite and monazite processing), graphite (both flake and amorphous varieties), and cobalt and nickel processing. Our flowsheet designs incorporate environmentally sustainable processing technologies including low-energy crushing and grinding, water-efficient mineral separation, and closed-circuit process water systems.

Canadian Regulatory Compliance and Safety Standards

All WSHT equipment supplied to Canadian projects is designed and manufactured in compliance with applicable Canadian Standards Association (CSA) requirements, provincial mining regulations, and federal environmental legislation. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and our environmental management system complies with ISO 14001:2015. WSHT maintains comprehensive health, safety and environment policies aligned with Canadian mining industry best practices, including COR certification where required by provincial jurisdictions.

Case Study — 10,000 TPD Gold Processing Plant, Abitibi Greenstone Belt, Quebec

WSHT was selected as the EPC contractor for a 10,000 tonnes per day gold processing plant in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Quebec. The project scope included primary crushing, SAG mill and ball mill grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, CIL cyanidation and tailings management. The plant was designed for 24/7 operation throughout Quebec's harsh winter conditions, with all processing circuits housed in a fully insulated, heated facility. The project achieved commercial production on schedule and within budget, with gold recovery exceeding 93% during the first six months of operation.
